Germain LAPORTE, brother of Jean-Baptiste and uncle of Mary Frances then "Sister Mary Germaine". He was parish priest in four villages in Haute Garonne. In 1867, he was in Rome for the canonization of Ste Germaine de Pibrac, Hte Garonne When Mary Frances entered the novitiate of San Francisco, he recommended that she take the name of sister "Mary Germaine" in religion

Germain LAPORTE, frère de Jean-Baptiste et oncle de Mary Frances puis "Sœur Mary Germaine". Il fut curé dans quatre villages de Haute Garonne. En 1867, il est à Rome pour la canonisation de Ste Germaine de Pibrac, Hte Garonne Lors de l'entrée de Mary Frances au noviciat de San Francisco, il lui recommande de prendre en religion le nom de sœur "Mary Germaine".
